Your birth details and your questions are personal. Here is exactly what we hold, who else sees it, and how to make it all go away.

Who we are

RashiBot (“we”, “us”) provides Vedic astrology readings through the website at rashibot.com and the RashiBot Android app. This policy covers both — they are one service and one account.

You can reach us about anything on this page at support@rashibot.com.

What we collect

  • Your phone number. You sign in with a one-time code sent over WhatsApp, so your number is your account identifier. We do not use it for marketing messages.
  • Your birth details — date, time, and place of birth, and the name you give a chart. This is the entire basis of every reading; without it the app cannot work at all.
  • Your questions and readings. Chat messages you send and the answers you receive are stored so your conversation history is there when you come back.
  • Payment records. When you buy credits or a report we keep the order id, amount, and status. We never see or store your card, UPI id, or bank details — those go straight to the payment provider.
  • Nothing, for the app’s daily reading. In the Android app the daily notification is scheduled by your own phone and never leaves it — we hold no token and send nothing. On the website, allowing notifications does store a subscription for your browser, which identifies a device rather than a person.
  • Which screens you open, and when you reach a payment screen. These are fixed event names — never the question you asked, the person you matched with, or anything else you typed. They are used to measure whether our advertising works, and are shared with Meta for that purpose.
  • Fault reports — what broke and where — so we can fix it.

We do not ask for your address, your contacts, your photos, your location, or your identity documents, and the app requests no permission to read them.

Why we collect it

To calculate your chart, to answer your questions from it, to remember your readings between visits, to take payment for the things you choose to buy, and to send the daily reading if you asked for it. That is the whole list.

We rely on your consent for notifications, and on the necessity of performing the service you asked for in every other case. You can withdraw consent by turning notifications off in your phone settings.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do pass it to the services that make RashiBot work:

  • Supabase — stores your account and your data, and handles sign-in.
  • Cerebras and, as a fallback, OpenRouter — run the AI model that writes your reading. Your chart facts and your question are sent so an answer can be produced.
  • VedAstro and Prokerala — calculate the astronomical positions in your chart from your birth date, time, and place.
  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Photon — turn the place name you type into coordinates. Only the place text is sent, never your identity.
  • Razorpay and PayU — take payments. They handle your payment instrument under their own privacy policies.
  • Meta — measures whether our advertising worked. It receives which screens you opened, that you registered, and that a purchase happened, along with identifiers used to match you to an ad. It never receives your birth details, your questions, or your readings.
  • Vercel — hosts the service and counts page views.

Some of these process data outside India. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

No human astrologer reads your chart

Readings are produced by software. Our staff do not browse user charts or conversations; access to the database is limited to the people who maintain the service, and is used for fixing faults, not for reading your questions.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays until you delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed, because we are obliged to keep them. Error logs are unlinked from your account when you delete it, so they survive as records of a fault but no longer point at a person.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by asking us. Deletion is permanent — it removes your charts, your conversations, your remaining credits, and the readings you have paid for, and none of it can be restored.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to support@rashibot.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you may complain to your data protection authority.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that limit each account to its own rows. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but we hold as little as the service needs, which is the part that matters most.

Children

RashiBot is for adults. It is not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

About the readings themselves

RashiBot is for guidance and reflection. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and nothing it says is a prediction of fact. Decisions you take remain yours.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use RashiBot after a change means you accept it.
