✦ Kundli Explained
A Kundli (janma kundali) is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born — which planet sat in which sign and house. Everything in Vedic astrology is read from this one map.
The zodiac rises through the eastern horizon completely every 24 hours — a new sign about every two hours. Your rising sign (Lagna) anchors all twelve houses, so even a 15-minute difference in birth time can shift what your chart says. That's why we ask for time and place, not just your date of birth.
RashiBot uses the North Indian style: a square split into twelve diamonds and triangles. The top-center diamond is always your 1st house (Lagna), and the houses run counter-clockwise from there. The two-letter labels are planets — Su (Sun), Mo (Moon), Ma (Mars), Me (Mercury), Ju (Jupiter), Ve (Venus), Sa (Saturn), Ra (Rahu), Ke (Ketu).
💡 On your RashiBot report pages the chart is interactive — tap any house to see its sign, ruling planet, and what it means for you specifically.
Generating your free Kundli on RashiBot gives you the birth chart, your Nakshatra and its pada, Moon and Sun signs, active yogas, Mangal dosha check, the full Vimshottari dasha timeline, and divisional charts (D2, D9, D10, D12) — plus a downloadable PDF.
